The primary ministers in the church and of the church are the laos, the people of God. At the same time, godly leadership, authority, and service to the people of God are vital to the life and health of the church. That means that the raising up of qualified, theologically-sound, and trained clergy is essential to the health of the church and to the equipping of the saints for God’s work.

For that reason, the ministry of Clergy Credentialing in the DRM focuses on facilitating a well-run and accessible ordination process that has a strong emphasis on formation. The Credentialing Team has designed the credentialing process to be one of discernment, theological and spiritual formation, and practical equipping, where bar is set high for those seeking to be ordained. At the same time, the process is one where ordinands are mentored, encouraged, and supported every step of the way, so that the process is within reach for those who discern a call to ordained ministry.
