Josh Cuellar of Real Escape from the Sex Trade (REST), an anti-trafficking ministry, will be addressing us about the contours of sex trafficking in the Seattle area and how they help survivors out of it.

The Diocese of the Rocky Mountains understands that the Gospel of Christ carries redemptive implications for all of human life and creation.  Therefore, we seek to engage in ministry of both word and deed: We see a deep connection between gospel proclamation and social action, and we pursue both to participate in God’s holistic and comprehensive work of redemption.  Therefore, our Justice and Mercy Ministry equips diocesan churches to lean into the brokenness of their local communities with the redemptive power of the Gospel.

As a diocese, we have a strong partnership with the Matthew 25 Initiative, which exists to “equip and sustain Anglicans working alongside the vulnerable” and envisions a concrete expression of justice and mercy existing in every Anglican Church in our province.

To get involved with Matthew 25 and explore resources for building out and launching justice and mercy ministries, check out this recording from a March 2024 webinar with Matthew 25 staff.
