The inaugural Diocese of the Rocky Mountains Gathering is happening Monday, February 6th – Wednesday, February 8th, 2017, in Colorado Springs. While some things will be familiar, some things are new. This gathering is for the whole diocese. Clergy, clergy spouses, lay leaders, lay representatives, and the whole church. We are eager to see all of our people gather, not just the clergy. Our theme for 2017 year is Standing in an Ancient Faith with Dr. Peter Leithart as our guest speaker.

Before the modern age, Christians saw both Scripture and created reality as a dense forest of symbols. Everything in creation speaks of God, as everything in the Bible speaks of Christ. We can be radically faithful in today’s world only by recovering this ancient vision of Word and world.  ~ Dr. Peter Leithart

MUSIC: Glenn Packiam. Glenn Packiam is the Pastor at New Life Downtown in Colorado Springs and an ordained Anglican Priest. Glenn is an accomplished author and as a signed writer with Integrity Music he has written some of our most cherished worship songs, like “Your Name” and “My Savior Lives.” Glenn has just released an iTunes LP called, “The Mystery of Faith,” in addition to the EP, The Kingdom Comes (2011), and a full-length album, Rumors and Revelations (2009).

CLERGY FORMATION: There will also be a Clergy Formation opportunity on the first day of the gathering (Feb. 6th) from 1pm-4pm. The Rev. Canon Matt Burnett with our guest speaker, Peter Leithart will be leading this time of training. While this time is designed for clergy and ordinands all are welcome to attend. If you plan to attend please add the Clergy Formation Ticket to your event registration.
