Dear Diocese of the Rocky Mountains,
I am thankful for how God has continued to sustain our churches in the Diocese over a very challenging season – we have certainly learned that we are dependent on God and not in control!
Recognizing the grace of God generates in us gratitude – and the gratitude, when it is rooted in grace, also produces a generosity of heart.
The Diocesan Council has prayed, reflected, and discussed how we are to extend this generosity. We have given grants to three different organizations.
The first is the Anglican Church of Rwanda. We were born as a missionary effort of the Anglican Church of Rwanda, and that relationship continues to shape and bless us. Like we did last year, we would like to invite you into giving as well – we have set a matching grant of up to $25,000.
You can watch a video below from Archbishop Mbanda. Please share this invitation with your congregations – our plan is to send the money by the end of September. Checks with “Rwanda” in the memo can be sent to:

The second is the Anglican Justice and Mercy Arm of the ACNA, commonly known as the Matthew 25 Initiative (M25i), to help support the ongoing development of the entity as they provide support, encouragement and equipping fellow Anglicans across North America in expressing tangible acts of love in the name of Jesus. This gift ties in with one of our Diocesan Priorities of building out a Missions mindset and capacity. We want you to be increasingly aware of this wonderful organization within the ACNA and our commitment to them.
Third, in conjunction with the Rev. Dr. Ashley Null, we are supporting the work of The Alexandria School of Theology in Egypt by giving a grant to provide for 3+ scholarships per year for the next 4 years. We are thankful to be part of the strengthening and equipping of the church in this area of the world.
Thank you for enabling us to be a blessing – our desire to live with a heart posture of gratitude and generosity instead of scarcity and grasping.
On behalf of the Diocesan Council,
+Ken
